The MEP Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for site inspections, engineering submittal reviews, testing and commissioning, of MEP systems across multiple projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Position is a site based and will be following projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site inspections for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Review engineering submittals, including shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
- Monitor and verify installation quality for all MEP systems.
- Ensure adherence to local codes, project specifications, and safety regulations during execution.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve technical issues on-site.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation for approval and compliance.
- Provide technical support and guidance to site teams for proper implementation of MEP systems.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely inspections and reviews.
- Identify and report any deviations or non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
- supervise Testing & Commissioning activities for all MEP systems.
- Ensure proper documentation and certification for handover of MEP systems to Handover Team.
- Assist in troubleshooting during commissioning and ensure systems operate as per design intent.
Qualifications, Experience and Required Skill Set:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
- 5+ years of experience in MEP engineering within construction or consultancy firms.
- Proven experience in site inspections, submittal reviews, and commissioning.
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously. Proven experience in high-rise, mixed-use, hospitality, or large residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of UAE/GCC authority procedures, standards, and approval processes.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in reviewing technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with Testing & Commissioning procedures and handover documentation.
- Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM/Revit is a plus.
