Metrology Engineer

Earnest Human Resources Consultancy is recruiting on behalf of a leading organization in the Power Generation & Gas Turbine sector for an experienced Metrology Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

✔️ Program and operate CMM, FARO Arm, and Zeiss 3D Scanning equipment.

✔️ Perform dimensional inspections, Gauge R&R studies, data analysis, and prepare inspection reports.

✔️ Conduct reverse engineering and develop detailed 2D manufacturing drawings.

✔️ Design gauges, jigs, fixtures, and tooling using CAD software.

✔️ Develop and maintain inspection work instructions and quality documentation.

✔️ Ensure calibration of metrology equipment and support preventive maintenance activities.

✔️ Train and mentor inspectors on dimensional inspection systems and metrology best practices.

Requirements

✔️ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metrology, or Design Engineering.

✔️ 3–5 years of experience in metrology, quality, and dimensional inspection within a manufacturing or MRO environment.

✔️ Hands-on experience with CMM Programming, FARO Arm, and 3D Scanners.

✔️ Proficiency in PC-DMIS, PolyWorks, Zeiss Scan, and Siemens NX.

✔️ Strong knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5 / ISO 1101), Gauge R&R, and ISO/IEC 17025.

✔️ Experience in reverse engineering and fixture/gauge design is highly preferred.

✔️ Experience in Gas Turbine MRO will be an added advantage.
