Nesting Engineer

CEMAR INTERNATIONAL LLC, a leading manufacturer in the armored vehicle and defense sector, is currently hiring a Nesting Engineer for its operations located in NIP Dubai South, Jebel Ali. This is an exceptional opportunity for engineering professionals who are experienced in laser cutting and metal fabrication to contribute to high-precision defense manufacturing.

The Nesting Engineer will be responsible for preparing efficient nesting programs for CNC machines, reducing material waste, and ensuring that production aligns with technical drawings and industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to production challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate nesting programs for laser and plasma cutting machines using ProNest, Most2D, AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar software.

• Interpret engineering, architectural, and structural drawings to maximize material usage and ensure precise cutting patterns.

• Coordinate with design, engineering, and production departments to validate drawings and layouts.

• Monitor ongoing cutting processes, troubleshoot errors, and resolve any nesting-related issues on the shop floor.

• Maintain comprehensive records of nesting programs, material utilization, and related documentation.

• Generate fabrication, erection, and shop drawings for steel structures and pre-engineered buildings.

• Work closely with production teams to address punch lists, verify against BOMs and cut sheets, and ensure accurate fabrication and finishing.

• Reduce scrap and enhance efficiency through optimized nesting strategies.

• Support CNC operations by generating required machine files and troubleshooting manufacturing challenges.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.

• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in armored vehicle manufacturing or metal fabrication.

• Proficiency in nesting software like ProNest, Most2D, Tekla, AutoCAD, and other CNC-related platforms.

• Strong understanding of metal fabrication, industry standards, and raw material sizes.

• Ability to interpret complex drawings and deliver precise cutting instructions.

• Hands-on experience with CNC programming for plasma/laser machines.

• A self-motivated and team-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills.

• High level of accuracy and efficiency with a focus on minimizing material waste.
