We are a stealth start-up with the potential to become the best Pan Asian fine dining restaurant in the UAE and beyond.

We are looking for passionate experienced Pan Asian Sous Chef to support Doko daily operations by acting as the second command in kitchen including but not limited to following and enforcing Head Chef’s requirements and guidelines. This position involves participation in creating and designing delicious menus as well as supporting the recruitment of new employees and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Support Head Chef in developing, designing, planning of all food menus
  • Support in managing kitchen shift operations and ensures compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards, and procedures
  • Ensure all food in working areas are in compliance with food handling techniques, including dating, proper storage, rotation, etc.
  • Evaluate food products to ensure consistent quality standards
  • Establish and maintain a regular maintenance schedule for all kitchen areas and equipment
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for all kitchen staff
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

Qualifications

  • 3 years' of culinary or kitchen experience mainly in Pan Asian Cuisine (Japanese/ Korean/Chinese or Thai)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management or Culinary.
  • Food & Safety Certification is an added advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Already based or willing to relocate in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
