Payroll Accountant

Description:

AWS Distribution is currently seeking a diligent and experienced Payroll Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai. This full-time role is ideal for professionals with a keen eye for detail and a solid background in payroll processing and financial reconciliation within the UAE.

As a Payroll Accountant, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, validating biometric attendance data, and managing end-to-end payroll operations. You will also play a critical role in ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws and maintaining organized, auditable payroll records.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with payroll systems, strong reconciliation skills in Tally, and familiarity with benefits administration such as gratuity and leave settlements. Proficiency in Hindi and/or Urdu is preferred to support communication with a diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, validate, and reconcile attendance records using biometric/time-tracking systems.

• Process payroll accurately, including salary adjustments, overtime calculations, and deductions.

• Administer employee benefits such as end-of-service gratuity, leave encashment, and final settlements.

• Maintain payroll records in Tally and support monthly reconciliation reports.

• Ensure strict compliance with UAE labor laws, tax regulations, and internal payroll policies.

• Maintain audit-ready documentation for payroll operations.

• Assist in preparing reports for management and internal stakeholders related to payroll expenses and trends.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory.

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in payroll accounting within the UAE.

• Strong proficiency in Tally, payroll software, and biometric attendance systems.

• Excellent understanding of UAE payroll regulations, WPS, gratuity, and leave policies.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Hindi and/or Urdu is preferred.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage confidential information discreetly.
