Principal Rust Engineer

We are seeking an accomplished Lead Rust Engineer with 10+ years of software engineering experience to join our client’s pioneering technology company in Dubai. This role requires a strong blend of hands-on coding expertise and proven leadership skills, as you will play a key role in building, mentoring, and guiding high-performing engineering teams while remaining deeply involved in technical delivery.

You will be working on cutting-edge projects across cyber security, artificial intelligence, robotics, crypto, and other emerging technology domains, helping to shape the company’s technical direction and product innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of complex systems in Rust
• Provide hands-on coding leadership while driving best practices and technical standards
• Collaborate with AI researchers, robotics engineers, and security specialists on cross-disciplinary projects
• Mentor, coach, and inspire engineering teams to achieve excellence
• Balance strategic technical decision-making with day-to-day coding contributions

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with significant hands-on Rust development
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams while maintaining strong coding capabilities
• Expertise in systems programming, distributed systems, and performance-critical applications
• Strong understanding of cyber security, AI, robotics, or crypto (or genuine interest in these domains)
• Exceptional problem-solving ability, communication skills, and leadership presence
