Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to manage and streamline the procurement activities across our construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling end-to-end procurement processes, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Procurement: Manage the complete procurement cycle including sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and acquisition of materials and services required for various projects.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure adherence to quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Technical Bid Evaluation: Evaluate technical aspects of bids to ensure alignment with project specifications, cost targets, and quality standards.
- Risk Management: Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to avoid disruption to project timelines.
- Cost Control & Budgeting: Implement strategic procurement practices that drive cost savings while ensuring project budget compliance.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure procurement activities align with regulatory requirements and maintain proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with engineering, planning, and project teams to forecast procurement needs and guarantee timely availability of materials.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement within the construction industry.
- Proven ability in negotiation, cost analysis, and vendor relationship management.
- Strong understanding of project-based procurement, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (preferred).
