Procurement Engineer

Description:

CEM Gulf LLC is currently seeking a qualified Procurement Engineer to join its team in Dubai. This role is ideal for professionals with solid experience in construction procurement who can efficiently manage sourcing activities and ensure timely availability of materials and subcontract services for ongoing projects.

The selected candidate will play a key role in coordinating procurement operations, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting project teams with accurate and timely material planning. The position requires strong organizational and negotiation skills, along with a deep understanding of the UAE construction market.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the procurement of construction materials and subcontract packages
• Prepare requests for quotations (RFQs) and obtain competitive offers from suppliers and subcontractors
• Analyze quotations, prepare comparison reports, and negotiate pricing and terms
• Coordinate closely with project managers and site teams to understand material requirements
• Ensure timely delivery of materials in line with project schedules and deadlines
• Maintain proper documentation and procurement records

Key Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory
• 3 to 5 years of procurement experience within construction companies in the UAE
• Strong knowledge of local suppliers and subcontractors
• Good negotiation, communication, and coordination skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement documentation processes
