Hiring: Procurement Officer – Oil & Gas Industry
Delta Controls FZCO is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Officer to join its expanding operations team in the UAE. This position is ideal for procurement professionals who possess strong industry knowledge, supplier management expertise, and the ability to handle complex purchasing processes within the Oil & Gas sector. The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient sourcing strategies, supplier compliance, and cost optimization across procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete procurement cycle from planning to final delivery
- Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Evaluate market conditions and recommend improvements to procurement strategies
- Coordinate purchasing plans in collaboration with the Product Line Planning Manager
- Review planned orders, generate purchase requisitions, and process approval workflows
- Issue purchase orders and ensure timely follow-up with suppliers
- Monitor order acknowledgments, track shortages or backlog issues, and keep internal teams informed
- Verify system lead times, delivery timelines, and procurement costs for accuracy
- Ensure suppliers comply with contractual agreements and report any non-conformance issues
- Arrange required MSDS, EHS documentation, and calibration certificates for hazardous materials
- Maintain compliance with QHSE and Occupational Health & Safety standards
- Supervise outsourced activities and ensure contractor adherence to company policies
- Collaborate with finance and logistics departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and goods receipt issues
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements
- Conduct vendor risk assessments prior to supplier selection
- Support supplier consolidation and optimization initiatives
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in Oil & Gas procurement
- Strong negotiation, sourcing, and vendor management capabilities
- Solid understanding of QHSE and OH&S compliance standards
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple procurement priorities in a fast-paced environment
