Project Engineer

 

Description:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Project Engineer – ELV & Cable Pulling to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems and structured cabling projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cable pulling, installation of ELV systems (CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, BMS, etc.), and site management. The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to manage on-site teams effectively.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution:

Supervise and manage cable pulling, termination, and testing activities across various ELV systems

 

Ensure that all ELV installations (CCTV, Access Control, PA, BMS, Intercom, Fire Alarm, etc.) are executed as per drawings and project requirements

 

Plan daily and weekly work schedules for site teams and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers

 

Conduct site inspections and surveys to verify routing, conduit requirements, and access constraints

 

Site Supervision & Coordination:

Manage and guide site technicians and supervisors to ensure timely and quality installation

 

Coordinate with MEP, civil, and other site disciplines to avoid clashes and ensure smooth work progression

 

Ensure all materials, tools, and equipment required for site activities are available on time

 

Documentation & Reporting:

Prepare and maintain site progress reports, cable pulling logs, and test reports

 

Ensure compliance with project timelines, safety standards, and local authority regulations

 

Participate in site meetings and update project manager on progress, issues, and risks

 

Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Experience:

 

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunications Engineering

 

3–5 years of experience in ELV project execution with a focus on cable pulling and ELV systems installation

 

Hands-on experience in structured cabling, cable tray installation, and termination

 

Technical Skills:

 

Sound knowledge of ELV systems: CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, SMATV, BMS, etc.

 

Proficient in reading electrical/ELV drawings and system schematics

 

Familiarity with testing tools (Fluke, OTDR, etc.) and standards for structured cabling

 

Soft Skills:

 

Strong leadership and team management abilities

 

Good communication and coordination skills

 

Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
