Description:
The Project Manager – Interior Fit-Out is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering interior fit-out projects from design coordination to final handover. The role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards, while managing clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Manage complete lifecycle of interior fit-out projects (commercial, retail, residential, hospitality).
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and execution strategies.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, site, and QA/QC teams.
Client & Consultant Coordination
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Attend client meetings, site meetings, and progress reviews.
- Ensure client requirements and specifications are clearly communicated and met.
Cost & Budget Control
- Prepare project budgets and cost forecasts.
- Monitor project expenses, variations, and change orders.
- Ensure profitability and cost optimization.
Site Management
- Oversee site activities to ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and timelines.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site engineers.
- Resolve site issues, delays, and technical challenges promptly.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure work complies with approved drawings, authority regulations, and quality standards.
- Enforce HSE policies and site safety procedures.
- Conduct inspections and ensure snag-free handover.
Documentation & Reporting
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
- Maintain project documentation, reports, and progress updates.
- Manage project close-out documents and handover files.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
- 5–10 years experience in interior fit-out project management (UAE/GCC preferred).
- Strong knowledge of interior materials, finishes, and MEP coordination.
- Proven experience handling fast-track fit-out projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
- UAE driving license preferred.
