Purchase Officer

Description:

Sabi Electromechanical Works L.L.C. is seeking an experienced and proactive Purchase Officer to join its growing team in Dubai. This role is ideal for procurement professionals with a strong background in the MEP or construction sector who are passionate about sourcing quality materials, managing supplier relationships, and supporting project requirements efficiently.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing procurement activities, negotiating with suppliers, obtaining competitive pricing, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services required for ongoing projects. The position requires excellent organizational skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement activities for materials, equipment, and services required for projects

• Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing, and delivery performance

• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with vendors

• Prepare purchase orders and maintain procurement documentation

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely replenishment of materials

• Ensure on-time delivery of purchased items to support project schedules

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of procurement experience within the MEP or construction industry

• Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain operations

• Experience in supplier evaluation, sourcing, and contract negotiation

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing systems

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously

• UAE experience is an added advantage
