Description:
A leading engineering and technical services organization is seeking a dedicated QA Inspector to join its team in Dubai, UAE. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about safety, compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of quality across engineering and technical projects.
As a QA Inspector, the selected candidate will play an important role in ensuring that fire and life safety systems as well as ELV systems meet regulatory requirements and industry standards. The position involves inspecting installations, monitoring system performance, and ensuring that all systems are functioning safely and effectively.
This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities. The successful candidate will help maintain compliance with safety standards while contributing to projects that support safer buildings and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and functional testing of fire safety equipment, including fire alarms, fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, and emergency lighting.
- Monitor and inspect the PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) quality of CCTV systems, gate barriers, sliding doors, and other ELV installations.
- Maintain comprehensive inspection records, detailed reports, and photographic documentation of system conditions and findings.
- Stay updated with SIRA regulations, local safety standards, and international compliance requirements related to fire and security systems.
- Lead internal audits and support quality assurance initiatives aimed at improving operational standards.
- Provide technical guidance and training to teams on fire safety inspection procedures and quality compliance.
- Work closely with external auditors and regulatory authorities during inspections and compliance assessments.
- Identify non-compliance issues and collaborate with relevant teams to ensure timely corrective actions.
- Prepare periodic safety and quality reports while escalating critical risks when necessary.
- Assist in QA/QC processes for specialized safety and engineering systems according to technical standards.
Requirements:
- Practical experience in fire safety systems, ELV systems, or a related engineering/technical field.
- Strong understanding of industry safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Hands-on experience in inspection, testing, reporting, and documentation processes.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
- Strong analytical thinking with a detail-oriented approach to quality assurance.
