Qhse Engineer

We are currently looking for a QHSE Engineer (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) to join our team in Abu Dhabi.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and continually improve QHSE management systems in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OSHAD
• Communicate QHSE system requirements and promote HSE awareness through TBTs, inductions, training sessions, campaigns, and other communication channels
• Prepare QHSE documentation for clients and projects in coordination with BD and Operations teams
• Conduct internal and third‑party QHSE inspections as per the approved inspection program
• Follow up on preventive and corrective actions and ensure timely closure
• Develop, facilitate, and review QHSE risk assessments for routine and non‑routine activities
• Record and report key QHSE performance indicators on a monthly basis
• Recommend improvements and additional KPIs for continual improvement
• Promote a behavior‑based safety culture through safe job observations and management inspections
• Carry out daily walk‑throughs at company facilities and client sites
• Participate in incident investigations and prepare detailed reports
• Represent the organization in regulatory QHSE meetings, committees, and seminars
• Support colleagues and carry out additional assigned duties as required

Qualifications & Skills
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5–10 years of experience in valve maintenance, mechanical workshops, or site operations with Quality & HSE exposure
• Strong knowledge of QMS, EMS, and HSE standards
• NEBOSH and IMS Auditing Certification preferred
• Strong understanding of risk assessment techniques (HAZOP, HIRA), incident investigation, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent communication, analytical, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills
