We are currently looking for a QS Engineer
Principal Purpose of the Position:
The Quantity Surveyor Engineer is responsible for estimating and controlling costs for construction projects, ensuring that structures meet legal, accuracy, and quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on drawings, specifications, and client-provided documents.
- Perform quantity take-offs and building measurements.
- Verify and cross-check quantities between the BOQ and tender drawings.
- Create query sheets to address missing items and errors.
- Manage Primavera files for project planning and scheduling.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely updates to Primavera files.
- Analyze project data and generate reports using Primavera software.
- Provide training and support to team members on the usage of Primavera software.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Identify labor, material, and time requirements for projects.
- Prepare inquiries according to project specifications and send them to subcontractors or suppliers for quotations.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or issues.
- Assist in verifying quantities for material requisition from the project site.
- Identify variation items and prepare variation order sheets in coordination with the Site Engineer.
