Description:
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record in the interior fit-out industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects, specifically high-end interior fit-outs for commercial, retail, hospitality, and residential spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents for interior fit-out projects.
- Evaluate and price variations, change orders, and ensure proper cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site measurements and verify subcontractor claims and progress payments.
- Monitor project progress and ensure financial control by tracking budget vs. actual costs.
- Assist in contract negotiations and advise on procurement strategies.
- Prepare and present monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and final accounts.
- Liaise with project managers, architects, designers, and contractors to ensure cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and industry regulations.
- Identify potential risks and suggest mitigation strategies to protect project margins.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as a QS in the interior fit-out industry.
- Strong understanding of fit-out materials, subcontractor scopes, and sequencing.
- Experience in commercial, hospitality, retail, or high-end residential interiors is highly desirable.
- Excellent knowledge of cost planning, value engineering, and project budgeting.
- Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD (basic), and QS software such as Bluebeam, or similar.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
