Description:
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all cost and commercial aspects of interior fit-out projects — from estimation and tendering to final handover. The role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and project coordination skills to ensure that each project is completed within budget and delivers maximum value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documentation for interior fit-out projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and material requirements to ensure accurate pricing.
- Source and evaluate quotations from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and prepare financial progress reports.
- Prepare and process variations, interim valuations, and final accounts.
- Conduct site visits for measurement, progress verification, and cost monitoring.
- Assist in contract negotiation and ensure compliance with contractual and financial terms.
- Support procurement in identifying cost-effective materials and subcontractors.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement value engineering solutions.
- Coordinate with project managers, designers, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain documentation of all commercial activities, including purchase orders, agreements, and payment certificates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in quantity surveying within the interior fit-out industry.
- Strong knowledge of fit-out materials, finishes, joinery, and MEP coordination.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software (e.g., Candy, CostX, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and reporting abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
