Real Estate Accountant

Description:

Imtiaz Real Estate Investment & Development LLC is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Real Estate Accountant to join our finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
📌 Oversee and manage all financial accounting operations for real estate properties, including AP, AR, and general ledger.
📌 Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
📌 Conduct property-level financial reviews, investigating discrepancies or unusual trends.
📌 Manage and reconcile bank accounts for real estate investments.
📌 Prepare and file property tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
📌 Collaborate with property managers to resolve financial issues and provide recommendations.
📌 Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the real estate portfolio.
📌 Maintain the fixed asset register, depreciation, and asset tracking.
📌 Ensure compliance with accounting regulations, policies, and internal controls.
📌 Assist in audits by preparing documentation and supporting external auditors.
🔎 What We’re Looking For:
✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
✔️ 5-10 years of accounting experience (real estate industry preferred)
✔️ Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate accounting practices
✔️ Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
