Resident Engineer

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer with at least 15 years of experience in the construction and engineering industry, with 5+ years of direct experience working in Dubai, to manage the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring that design and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing residential and hotel building sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the construction of residential buildings and hotel projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, project specifications, and quality control processes.

• Manage the day-to-day operations at the project site, ensuring the efficient coordination of resources, contractors, and subcontractors.

• Act as the primary point of contact for all site-related technical issues and liaise with architects, contractors, and consultants.

• Provide technical direction and supervision to the engineering team on-site.

• Ensure that all construction activities comply with local regulations, codes, and safety standards.

• Monitor project progress, timelines, and budgets, addressing potential delays or issues on time.

• Review and approve material and equipment submittals, shop drawings, and other technical documents.

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical expertise to junior engineers and site staff.

Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years of experience, with at least 5 years as a Consultant in the UAE.

• Strong project management skills and a proven ability to lead site teams.

• Experience in residential and hotel construction projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

• Strong understanding of local construction codes, regulations, and safety standards in Dubai.

• Exceptional problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

• Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines without compromising quality.
