Resource Allocator

 

Description:

 

As a Resource Allocator, you will strategically manage and optimize the deployment of operational resources, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal expenditure through proactive planning, dynamic allocation, and accurate shift and roster management.

Accountabilities
 

  • Review rostered manpower for the upcoming shifts and implement necessary adjustments to optimize resource allocation and minimize overtime
  • Maintain the accuracy of roster data across all relevant systems to ensure operational integrity
  • Pre-plan the task allocation for subsequent shifts and ensure all tasks are assigned to available resources as per their licensing validity, considering travel times between consecutive tasks and ensuring a fair workload distribution
  • Review the shift allocation for the current shift to ensure it remains relevant to the pre-plan and adjust as required
  • Real-time management of the tasks on the day of operation, ensuring allocation is dynamically adjusted in response to resource variances, delays, cancellations, or aircraft changes.
  • Ensure all assigned tasks on the day of operation are acknowledged, started, and completed by the resources
  • Coordinate all repositioning and towing requests from AOCC, HCC, EY Line Maintenance to ensure they are handled in a timely manner based on the availability of the resources
  • Escalate any operational shortfalls, risks, or issues to the Dispatch Duty Manager
  • Maintain accurate records of overtime and deductions to ensure correct payroll processing and minimize payroll discrepancies
  • Ensure any RMS related issues are reported to Manager Resource Planning in a timely manner with all relevant details
  • Generate and distribute the shift handover report at the end of every shift with Dispatch Duty Managers and Manager Resource Planning
  • Support Dispatch Duty Managers with ad-hoc requests such as stationary orders, equipment and vehicle management, flight file archiving, seasonal welfare deliveries, and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years in an operational role in an airline/GHA or 2 years in the resource planning or allocation roles
  • Understanding of resource management systems
  • Knowledge of airport operations and procedures
  • Training in any resource management systems
  • A high standard of verbal and written English with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely across all levels
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and information dissemination
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
