Our Quality Department is seeking for Risk and Safety Manager suitably, qualified and experienced in Risk management and safety improvement to join our Team .

Position Overview:

Risk management and safety improvement manager: highly qualified and experienced in leading the implementation of an integrated risk management structure and patient safety program to ensure the delivery of Quality and trusted care in SSMC . The Risk and safety improvement manager shall act as subject matter expert to risk identification and mitigation plans , patient safety , quality improvement opportunities and projects and provide leadership and oversight to maintain patient safety goals , occupational health and safety and accreditation standards

  1. Providing leadership, vision and strategy to the department/section
  2. Developing, implementing and evaluating departmental goals, objectives and programs with department/section staff
  3. Developing a comprehensive facility wide risk and safety proactive/reactive program which will contribute efficiently in facility overall business continuity plan
  4. Providing a framework for the facility that enables future activities to take place in a consistently controlled manner
  5. Identifying and analyzing loss exposure; developing, implementing and administrating treatment and plans to minimize liability and asset losses
  6. Coordinating the administrative and clinical (operational) activities within the department/section
  7. Providing administrative and clinical direction and supervision
  8. Preparing long and short term fiscal budget and resource allocation plan
  9. Providing leadership and guidance to facility and/or clinics to improve their overall response in emergency situations and enhance their perception of risk and safety
  10. Developing, coordinating and maintaining a comprehensive management plan to ensure the ability of facility in responding to and recovering from any external/internal emergencies
  11. Assuming primary responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating occupational disease screening and prevention programs and post exposure protocols
  12. Designing and ensuring delivery of the pre-employment medical review and visa medical assessment processes
  13. Implementing and managing health promotion programs

Education requirements:

Required:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant field such as quality, Occupational Health, Safety, Environment.

Desired :

Master's degree in a relevant field.

Recognized certifications such as Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ),, Certified Quality Analyst (CQA), Certified Quality Management (CQM) etc.

Experience required:

6-8 years of relevant progressive experience in a similar role with 3 years of supervisory experience.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to deal with multiple issues simultaneously (multitask) and move them all towards resolution
  • Good communication skills.
