Safety Officer

Description:

A reputed construction organization in the UAE is urgently seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join its project operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with occupational health and safety standards across construction sites while promoting a safe working environment for all employees. This role requires strong knowledge of HSE procedures, risk assessment practices, and industry safety regulations.

The selected candidate will play a key role in implementing safety policies, monitoring site activities, and ensuring that all staff follow established safety guidelines. Professionals with recognized safety certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHAD, and ISO 45001 will be given strong preference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures

• Conduct regular risk assessments across construction sites and project areas

• Monitor workplace activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards

• Enforce preventive safety measures and identify potential hazards in advance

• Investigate incidents, accidents, and violations and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis

• Ensure all employees and site personnel are following safety rules and regulations

• Identify operational bottlenecks and suggest timely corrective solutions

• Conduct safety training sessions and awareness programs for staff

• Maintain safety documentation and compliance records for audits and inspections

• Coordinate with project management teams to improve overall site safety performance

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a construction company (mandatory)

• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and procedures

• Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHAD, or ISO 45001 is highly preferred
