Sales Development Representative

 

Description:

We are on a growth trajectory and we’re looking for a passionate, motivated Sales Development Representative to increase brand awareness and generate opportunities for the sales team through direct communication with schools.

 

As part of our Revenue team and reporting to the Direct Marketing Manager, we look to you to open doors with key stakeholders to discuss their requirements and find the best product to suit their needs. You will know what best practice for sales development looks like, communicate clearly, proactively seek out opportunity, organise workload, record communication accurately, all in efforts to hit monthly targets

 

For success in this role, you need to have exceptional time and priority management and the ability to work well under pressure. Confidence and the ability to build a rapport when communicating to senior leaders is a must.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct and manage combined direct telesales and mailer campaigns within specified regions, to optimise success, passing all qualified opportunities to relevant salesperson
  • Handle all incoming telephone and website enquiries for specified regions and pass qualified opportunities to salesperson
  • Perform telephone research campaigns to gather key information for the CRM and produce data on prospects
  • Meet or exceed lead generation and activity targets agreed to with manager; tracked and assessed on a weekly basis
  • Maintain timely and accurate records of all potential customer contact and lead generation in the CRM according to company procedures
  • Attend conferences as required to represent the company and generate leads
  • Acquire and maintain excellent knowledge of the companies’ products and services and proven sales and marketing techniques
  • Working within the Education Horizons Information Security Management System
  • Work in alignment with Education Horizons polices and values

 

 

Essential requirements for this role:

  • Comprehensible telephone manner with good enunciation in English
  • Able to contact and communicate effectively and confidently with leaders and senior managers of schools
  • Able to meet or exceed all contact and sales targets
  • Self-motivated and able to self-manage
  • Good team player
  • Able to represent technical solutions to a non-technical audience
  • Able to work flexibly to accommodate the different international time zones of the company’s markets
  • Able to work away from home for external marketing events
  • Knowledge and or experience of the independent school sector and of the ways in which schools are structured (desirable)
  • Good IT literacy with sound working knowledge of MS Office products
  • Sound working knowledge of the company’s key contact and lead management systems
  • A knowledge of one or more foreign languages (desirable)
