Description:

We are seeking a skilled and imaginative Sculptor to design, fabricate and install three-dimensional artworks for gallery exhibitions, public sites and commissioned projects. The successful candidate will lead the sculptural process from concept through production and installation, working closely with curators, fabricators, engineers and the production team to deliver durable, site-appropriate works that meet artistic and technical requirements.

Responsibilities
- Develop original sculptural concepts, sketches and maquettes that respond to curatorial briefs or site conditions.
- Prepare production plans, material lists, technical drawings and cost estimates for sculptures and installations.
- Fabricate artworks using a range of media (metal, stone, wood, ceramics, composites, resin, found materials) and techniques (welding, carving, casting, mold-making, surface finishing).
- Coordinate with external fabricators, foundries, workshops and suppliers when specialist processes are required.
- Oversee site assessments, surface preparation and installation logistics; supervise installation teams, rigging and use of lifts/scaffolding.
- Manage project budgets, schedules and procurement; maintain accurate production records.
- Ensure artworks meet health & safety, conservation and accessibility standards; provide maintenance and conservation instructions.
- Document the process (work-in-progress and final photography), deliver layered source files and prepare condition reports.
- Participate in community engagement or educational activities related to public works when required.
- Communicate progress and technical needs clearly to project managers and curatorial staff.

Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Fine Arts, Sculpture, or equivalent professional practice.
- Minimum 3+ years professional experience producing site-specific sculptures, public artworks or gallery installations.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating concept development and finished sculptural works at varied scales (include images, brief project notes).
- Proficiency in multiple fabrication techniques and familiarity with rigging, working at height and safety procedures.
- Experience coordinating external workshops, foundries or specialised contractors.
- Good project management skills: budgeting, scheduling and vendor coordination.
- Problem-solving ability and practical hand skills; attention to structural integrity and finish quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Valid certifications for working at height, heavy equipment or welding are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel to installation sites and to work outdoors in variable conditions when required.
