Description:
The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and protection of guests, visitors, staff, and property within the hotel or mall premises. This role requires a proactive approach to risk management, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:For Hotels:
- Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to ensure the safety and security of guests and staff.
- Patrol assigned areas regularly to prevent theft, vandalism, and safety hazards.
- Assist guests with directions or inquiries while maintaining professional conduct.
- Manage access control for restricted areas.
- Handle guest complaints or security concerns in a discreet and professional manner.
- Respond promptly to fire alarms, medical emergencies, and other incidents.
- Collaborate with hotel management and law enforcement when required.
- Maintain daily activity reports and incident logs.
For Malls:
- Oversee security operations across retail outlets, food courts, parking areas, and common spaces.
- Prevent shoplifting, vandalism, and unauthorized entry.
- Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems for suspicious activity.
- Assist in crowd control during events, sales, and peak hours.
- Provide first-level response to emergencies until specialized help arrives.
- Liaise with mall management and emergency services when needed.
- Maintain order and ensure compliance with mall policies and safety regulations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in security services, preferably in hospitality or retail environments.
- Good physical fitness and alertness.
- Knowledge of basic security and safety protocols.
- Ability to operate security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under pressure.
- Basic first aid knowledge preferred.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
