Senior Accountant

The company specializes in transporting sand, aggregates, and various construction materials essential to infrastructure and building projects throughout the UAE.

Position Overview:

The selected candidates will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial transactions and ensuring compliance with financial standards. This role requires both technical accounting knowledge and practical application skills, with a strong focus on detail, accuracy, and problem-solving. Depending on the assignment, positions are available in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or Ras Al Khaimah.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and receivable and ensure timely processing of transactions.

• Maintain general ledger and prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and internal ledgers.

• Assist with internal audits and support external audit processes.

• Ensure compliance with UAE financial laws, VAT, and company policies.

• Monitor and control budgets and assist in financial forecasting and analysis.

• Prepare reports for senior management and provide financial insights for strategic decisions.

• Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Excel to maintain organized and error-free records.

• Work closely with the transport operations team to align invoicing and cost-tracking with project activities.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 2 to 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.

• Strong command of accounting principles, auditing practices, and financial compliance.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Strong analytical thinking and communication abilities.

• Previous experience in the transportation or logistics industry is a plus.
