Senior Accountant

Description:

• Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Dubai team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in UAE financial regulations, including VAT and Corporate Tax, and preferably have exposure to the real estate or interior fit-out sectors. This role combines hands-on accounting with compliance responsibilities and business support.
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Full-cycle accounting: Manage day-to-day accounting operations from journal entries to month-end close and financial statement preparation.
  • Compliance: Ensure accurate filing and adherence to UAE VAT and Corporate Tax rules and other statutory obligations.
  • Financial planning: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring to support operational decision-making.
  • Reconciliations & payroll: Prepare account reconciliations, support payroll processing and maintain orderly financial records.
  • External liaison: Coordinate with auditors, tax authorities and other government agencies during audits and statutory submissions.
  • Business support: Provide actionable financial insights and reports to help management steer the business.
• Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of accounting experience within the UAE market.
  • Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax and compliance processes.
  • Sector experience: Prior work in real estate or interior fit-out companies is a strong advantage.
  • Systems: Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks or ERP solutions.
  • Skills: Strong analytical ability, organised work habits and effective communication (written and verbal) are essential.
