Senior Accountant

A reputable organization is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Accountant to handle financial reporting and tax-related responsibilities for its US-based operations, while being based in Dubai. This role is ideal for professionals who have a strong understanding of US GAAP standards and experience managing complex taxation processes, particularly within the real estate sector.

The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and efficient coordination with auditors and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and manage complete sets of financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements in strict adherence to US GAAP standards.
• Tax Compliance: Handle US federal and state tax requirements, including preparation and coordination of filings such as K-1s and Form 1065.
• Real Estate Accounting: Oversee industry-specific accounting tasks including CAM reconciliations, lease accounting processes, and capital expenditure tracking.
• Audit & Treasury Functions: Manage month-end closing procedures, oversee banking activities including wire transfers, handle inter-company reconciliations, and act as the main point of contact for external auditors.

Requirements:

• Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar accounting role with strong expertise in US GAAP.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA qualification will be considered a strong advantage.
• Industry Exposure: Prior experience in real estate or investment firms will be highly beneficial.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Zoho Books, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
