Senior Accountant

Description:

Harbin SME is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its team in Dubai. This is an excellent opportunity for finance professionals with strong expertise in UAE accounting standards, financial reporting, and client portfolio management.

The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting functions, preparing financial reports, reviewing the work of junior accountants, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards. The role requires strong analytical abilities, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple client engagements while meeting strict deadlines. Immediate joiners will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial records and reports

• Ensure compliance with IFRS and UAE accounting regulations

• Review the work completed by junior accountants and provide guidance when required

• Manage multiple client portfolios and maintain high service standards

• Perform account reconciliations and financial analysis

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

• Coordinate with clients regarding accounting and financial matters

• Visit client locations when required to review accounting records and operations

• Ensure timely completion of assignments and reporting deadlines

• Support management with financial planning and decision-making processes

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience within the UAE

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE accounting practices, and financial reporting

• Proficiency in ERP systems, accounting software, and Advanced Microsoft Excel

• ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred

• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and reporting capabilities

• Ability to review and supervise the work of junior accounting staff

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to manage multiple client portfolios and meet deadlines effectively

• Immediate joiners preferred

• Strong knowledge of:

• IFRS standards and UAE accounting regulations

• Financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit preparation

• ERP systems, accounting software, and advanced Excel functions
