Role Description The Accounting Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial and accounting operations. This position manages the preparation and review of financial statements, supervises journal entries, monitors general ledger activity, and ensures accurate tracking of fixed assets.
The role includes managing monthly and annual closing processes, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and maintaining compliance with local regulations and internal policies. The Accounting Manager will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, support audits, and provide analytical insights to management for decision-making and performance improvement.

Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in trading, chemical distribution, manufacturing, or industrial businesses.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial reporting, with the ability to analyze and present financial data clearly.
- Strong experience in journal entries, general ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
- Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management.
- Experience in fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and asset reconciliation.
- Strong analytical skills for variance analysis, cost control, cash-flow monitoring, and financial performance review.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA are an advantage.
- Previous experience in a senior, supervisory, or managerial accounting role is preferred.
- Good knowledge of accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, integrity, and ability to work with multiple departments.
- Good knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and other relevant financial and regulatory requirements.
- Strong command of English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting activities and ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, cash-flow reports, and account reconciliations.
- Manage and process local and international invoices, including cross-border transactions and billing.
- Monitor Accounts Payable, supplier balances, payment due dates, and outstanding obligations.
- Monitor Accounts Receivable, customer balances, collections, overdue invoices, and credit limits.
- Follow up on customer payments and maintain an updated collection schedule.
- Monitor credit purchases, supplier credit terms, outstanding balances, and upcoming payment commitments.
- Manage and track cheques issued and received, including Post-Dated Cheques (PDCs), maturity dates, deposits, and clearance.
- Handle Letters of Credit (LCs) and other trade payment terms with suppliers and customers from opening through settlement.
- Review LC documents and coordinate with suppliers, customers, banks, logistics companies, and clearing agents to ensure compliance.
- Manage banking activities, including wire transfers, international payments, foreign currency transactions, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain professional relationships with banks and coordinate on trade finance facilities, LCs, guarantees, credit facilities, and payment matters.
- Coordinate with the logistics, procurement, and sales teams regarding shipments, customs documentation, supplier invoices, and customer deliveries.
- Monitor company cash flow, expected collections, upcoming supplier payments, and banking commitments.
- Prepare aging reports for both customers and suppliers and highlight overdue or high-risk balances.
- Assist management with budgeting, cost control, financial analysis, and profitability reviews.
