Senior Accountant

Description:

ABC Cargo UAE is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to independently manage accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, UAE tax requirements, and financial reporting processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing reconciliations, supporting audits, and ensuring effective internal controls. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet reporting deadlines in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger accounting, month-end closing, and financial reporting activities.

• Perform bank, branch, and intercompany reconciliations.

• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and collections reporting.

• Prepare cash flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis.

• Support UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance requirements.

• Coordinate audit requirements and maintain accurate financial documentation.

• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure accurate ERP accounting records.

Requirements:

• M.Com or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.

• Minimum 5 years of UAE accounting experience, including senior-level accounting responsibilities.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, UAE VAT, and Corporate Tax requirements.

• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent reconciliation, analytical, and reporting skills.

• High attention to detail with the ability to meet financial reporting deadlines.

• Cargo, courier, logistics, or transportation industry experience will be an advantage.

• CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA qualification will be considered an added advantage.

• Strong knowledge of:

    • Financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

    • Internal controls and accounting compliance procedures.

    • ERP accounting systems and advanced reporting processes.
