Description:
To provide strategic and technical expertise in shaping policies, programs, and frameworks that strengthen early intervention and child development systems. The Senior Advisor ensures services are inclusive, evidence-based, family-centered, and aligned with national priorities.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Advise leadership on policies, strategies, and global best practices in early childhood development and early intervention.
Support design, implementation, and evaluation of programs targeting developmental delays, disabilities, and at-risk children (0–8 years).
Engage and collaborate with government entities, schools, healthcare providers, NGOs, and families to ensure an integrated approach.
Promote research, innovation, and knowledge translation to strengthen evidence-based decision-making.
Represent the authority in high-level forums, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
Scope of Role
Senior advisory function with direct influence on decision-making.
Works across health, education, and social sectors to ensure holistic child services.
Provides technical input on program budgets, quality assurance, and monitoring.
Mentors leads and specialists within the department.
Qualifications & Experience
Master’s degree (minimum) in Early Childhood Development, Child Psychology, Special Education, Public Health, or related field; PhD preferred.
10+ years of relevant experience in child development and early intervention, including program design and policy advisory roles.
Knowledge of international child development frameworks (UNICEF, WHO, OECD) and local regulatory standards.
