As a Senior Business Analyst, your role extends beyond data analysis. You serve as a crucial bridge between various departments and stakeholders, leveraging insights to inform strategic decision-making, optimize processes, enhance customer satisfaction, ensure successful implementation of projects, and gather essential requirements. All of these contribute to the overall efficiency, innovation, and competitiveness of the business.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and challenges. Conduct meetings, workshops, research and lead the elicitation to gather and document detailed business requirements.
  • Analysis and Documentation: Analyze business processes, systems, reporting, and data used for different business processes and reporting. Document current and future state processes, use cases, data flows, and functional requirements.
  • Solution Design: Work closely with cross functional and technical teams to design and implement solutions that align with business strategy. Provide input on system architecture, user interface design, data models, and integration points.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Perform in-depth data analysis, identify trends, and derive actional insights to support decision making and business strategy.
  • Solution Evaluation and Testing: Provide expertise in solution evaluation, testing, and user acceptance to ensure successful implementation.
  • Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders at various levels, understanding their needs, and ensuring alignment between business goals and proposed solutions.
  • Leadership and Team Guidance: Lead and guide team of analysts, providing mentorship, support, and knowledge sharing to foster growth within the team.
  • Project Delivery: Take ownership of project delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Training Documentation: Contribute specialized skills in developing comprehensive and effective training documentation..
  • Change Management Support: Assist the Project Manager in assessing if project-related requests or implications warrant scope changes, triggering the initiation of change management procedures.

 

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, finance, economics, information technology, or a related field is typically required. Some positions may accept degrees in other disciplines with relevant coursework or experience.
  • Minimum of 8+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 4+ years in a Senior or Lead Analyst capacity.
  • Strong proficiency in business analysis methodologies, requirements gathering, and process modeling.
  • Expertise in data analysis, visualization tools, and deriving insights from complex datasets.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving process improvements and implementing scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Previous experience in project management and possession of relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP) would be advantageous.
  • Competency in utilizing business analysis tools, ERP systems, and other pertinent software.
