Description:
Asian Tiger Shipping LLC is urgently seeking an experienced Senior Customs Clerk for its Dubai office. This is a full-time role requiring a seasoned professional with substantial experience and established contacts within the UAE’s shipping and customs landscape.
The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of hands-on experience working with UAE Municipality, Port, and Customs procedures. Familiarity with the operational protocols of Jebel Ali Port and airport customs is crucial. The candidate should be well-versed in the end-to-end customs clearance process, documentation requirements, regulatory compliance, and cargo movement within the UAE.
Candidates with an existing network of customs and port contacts and those who possess a valid UAE car driving license (and preferably own a car) will be given strong preference.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle documentation and processing of import/export shipments
Liaise with customs and port authorities to ensure smooth clearance of cargo
Manage and submit declarations through Dubai Trade and other relevant portals
Stay updated with customs regulations, tariffs, and duty structures
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery
Maintain proper filing of records, ensure data accuracy, and provide support during audits
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Minimum 5 years of relevant UAE-based customs experience
Must have UAE driving license and preferably own transportation
Prior experience in the shipping industry is mandatory
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of customs procedures and regulatory compliance in the UAE
