Senior Design Engineer

Description:

Khatib & Alami is currently seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer specializing in Roads and Highways to join its team in the UAE. This role is suited for a highly skilled engineering professional with extensive experience in infrastructure design, particularly within the Middle East region. The position will be based in either Dubai or Abu Dhabi, depending on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of roads and highways projects in line with international and regional standards
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, reports, and technical documentation
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project alignment and timely delivery
• Review and validate design calculations, specifications, and project requirements
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and project guidelines
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and design teams
   

Requirements:

• 10 to 12 years of total professional experience in civil engineering
• Strong background in roads and highways design projects
• Mandatory experience working on projects within Dubai or Abu Dhabi
• Fluency in Arabic is required
• Candidates must be currently residing in the UAE
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment
