Senior Estimation Engineer

Description:

Royale Manchester Building Contracting L.L.C. is looking for an experienced Senior Estimation Engineer to join its growing team in Dubai and Sharjah. This position is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in civil construction and interior fit-out estimation who can prepare accurate project cost estimates and manage tender submissions.

The selected candidate will play a key role in evaluating project requirements, preparing competitive bids, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, and supporting project teams from the estimation stage through execution. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and knowledge of the UAE construction market are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate and competitive estimates.

• Perform quantity take-offs and material calculations from architectural and structural drawings.

• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and project cost breakdowns.

• Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to maximize project profitability.

• Maintain updated records of UAE market rates for construction materials and subcontractor services.

• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants to obtain quotations and negotiate pricing.

• Work closely with project management and procurement teams during project handover.

• Ensure estimates comply with project specifications, budgets, and company standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.

• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in the construction and interior fit-out industry.

• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet strict deadlines.

• Experience working on high-end civil and interior fit-out projects.

• Strong knowledge of:

• AutoCAD, MS Office (especially Excel), and estimation software.

• BOQ preparation, quantity surveying, and cost estimation.

• UAE building codes, Civil Defence regulations, and construction material specifications.
