Senior Interior Designer

Description:

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with project managers and engineers on various client projects.
• Assist draftsmen, project managers, and engineers in creating and revising technical and conceptual drawings in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and MS Programs.
• Assist with client relations including responding to phone calls and emails.
• Sit in on client meetings, attend design meetings and assist with selecting materials and design pallets; take notes/meeting minutes and distribute to team members—expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture, and all installations.
• Determine cost of completion and project requirements in the budgeting phase.
• Set a timeline for the completion of an interior design project.
• Perform clerical duties such as taking memos, maintaining and organizing files, making photocopies, prepare marketing and research materials.
• Handle general, ad-hoc industry-related errands.
• Set up and break down conference rooms for client and team meetings.
• Attend company functions and networking events.
• Prepares BIM models and drawings and coordinates using Navisworks and other coordination software.
• Shadow multiple positions (ex. Engineer, project manager) and train in a variety of related tasks.
• Opportunity to assist in social media brand management including drafting and editing content, handling correspondence, and inbound inquiries.

Qualifications:

•Outline client design objectives.

•Conceptualize and sketch design plans.

•Determine cost of completion and project requirements in the budgeting phase.

•Set a timeline for the completion of an interior design project.

•Source materials and products included in plans.

•Create 'mood boards' to sample your design vision.

•Utilize computer applications in the design process.

•Inspect design after completion to determine whether client goals have been met.

•Meeting with clients and determining their needs and requirements.

•Managing design projects from concept development through to completion.

•Developing and presenting project proposals.

•Adjusting designs and plans to meet the client's needs.

•Preparing drawings, blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.

•Conducting research and compiling reports on feasibility and environmental impact.

• Candidates should be graduated with or pursuing a degree in a field relating to architecture, engineering, interior design, or similar.

• Candidates should have a working knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop, Revit, Indesign, and MS programs.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.

• Energetic and eager to learn.
