Senior Interior Designer

Description:

Role Description The Senior Interior Designer will lead the design and execution of interior projects for corporate, industrial, and commercial spaces, ensuring functional, aesthetic, and brand-aligned environments. This part-time, hybrid role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a combination of on-site visits to client locations and office meetings, as well as some work-from-home flexibility for design development and documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing space plans, creating design concepts, preparing detailed drawings and mood boards, selecting materials and finishes, and coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment). The Senior Interior Designer will collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors, review construction progress, and ensure adherence to design intent, budget, and timelines. The role also involves mentoring junior designers, maintaining project documentation, and contributing to design standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Interior Design and Architecture, with demonstrated experience in commercial or industrial projects.
• Candidates should possess skills in Space Planning and FF&E, including layout optimization, furniture planning, and material/finish selection.
• Candidates should possess skills in Construction Drawings and technical detailing, including CAD-based documentation and coordination with contractors.
• Professional degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proficiency in design and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop or similar software).
• Strong portfolio showcasing completed interior projects and evidence of leading design from concept to completion.
• Effective communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to present concepts and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Knowledge of local building codes and construction practices in the UAE is highly beneficial.
