Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

Description:

GEO is looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Projects Engineer to join our Dubai team, with a primary focus on site supervision for large-scale industrial, logistics, and MRO facilities.

This role is ideal for a highly motivated mechanical engineer with strong knowledge of heavy-duty systems (HVAC, fire protection, utilities, process piping, compressed air, etc.) and hands-on site experience in the UAE.


Key Responsibilities

✔ Oversee all mechanical works on-site to ensure execution aligns with design specs and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, ASME).
✔ Supervise installation, testing & commissioning of industrial mechanical systems.
✔ Review and approve IRs, MIRs, method statements, and shop drawings.
✔ Coordinate with other disciplines and resolve site-level issues in real-time.
✔ Liaise with Dubai authorities (DM, Trakhees, DEWA, Civil Defense) for inspections and approvals.
✔ Maintain project progress, quality, and safety across all site activities.



Qualifications

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s or PMP is a plus)
✅ 10+ years total experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE
✅ Proven track record in industrial or MRO facility supervision
✅ Strong communication and reporting skills
✅ Familiar with Aconex, AutoCAD, and Revit MEP
✅ UAE driving license preferred
