Senior Mep Cost Consultant

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and Chartered MEP Cost Consultant/MEP Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing cost management and quantity surveying services for various MEP works across multiple construction project types, including commercial, hospitality, high-rise, and infrastructure. This role requires a candidate with a minimum of 8 years of experience in MEP cost management or quantity surveying, a relevant degree, and a preference for MRICS accreditation.

Key Responsibilities

- **Cost Management**: Provide comprehensive cost management services, including cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting for MEP systems across all project phases.

- **Quantity Surveying**: Perform quantity take-offs, measurements, and valuations of MEP systems and equipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.

- **Procurement**: Prepare, analyze, and negotiate procurement packages and subcontractor agreements for MEP works.

- **Contract Administration**: Administer contracts, manage cost variations, assess financial impacts, and maintain up-to-date records.

- **Value Engineering**: Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project requirements.

- **Stakeholder Communication**: Liaise with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure project goals are met and communicate progress on budgets, costs, and project outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in MEP quantity surveying or cost management.
• Chartered status (MRICS preferred).
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, excellent analytical skills, proficiency with cost management software, and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
