Senior Procurement Engineer

Map Vision is seeking a highly competent and experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to lead and manage procurement activities for MEP-related projects across the UAE. This full-time position is based in Abu Dhabi and is ideal for a candidate with a strong engineering background and extensive exposure to the local procurement landscape. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and securing materials, equipment, and services required for electrical and mechanical engineering projects in a cost-effective and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full procurement cycle from RFQ to PO issuance, including vendor evaluation, price negotiation, and contract finalization.

• Source and identify qualified suppliers, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.

• Coordinate with engineering and project management teams to understand technical requirements and delivery schedules.

• Review and analyze technical submittals and procurement documents to ensure alignment with project needs.

• Maintain procurement records and update procurement logs with accurate tracking information.

• Develop strategic sourcing plans to reduce costs and improve supplier performance.

• Ensure procurement activities comply with local regulations and company policies.

• Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements or changes when necessary.

• Participate in vendor meetings, site visits, and inspections as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory)

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on procurement experience within the UAE, preferably in the MEP sector

• Strong understanding of UAE vendor landscape, material specifications, and supply chain processes

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and documentation skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/procurement software

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Strong problem-solving skills and detail-oriented approach
