Senior Sales Manager

Based in the United Arab Emirates, Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for helping develop and executing the sales strategy. leading the success that will drive business results.

You will have a true hands-on approach, strong strategic skills, and be an effective communicator and leader. This position reports to the Head of Sales.

In order to be successful in this position, you need to be comfortable interfacing and driving sales teams along with other individuals at all levels of the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its it’s strong presence
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
  • Set individual / team sales targets
  • Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of the sales team
  • Present sales, revenue, expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Develop, maintain and execute a territory plan
  • Provide on the ground support for sales representatives as they generate leads and close new deals
  • Manage the sales team and ensure that individual and team sales targets are met\Review the team’s performance on a weekly basis
  • Work closely with the Supply team to align on action plans ensuring that the gross profit targets are met
  • Work closely with the the Head of sales and the Sales operations team Continuously look to help refine and improve key processes that complement the sales process and customer experience
  • Design and implement a structure for the team that promotes a culture of development

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of extensive experience of working in retail sales, ideally in FMCG and/or office supplies and/or consumer electronics
  • Good understanding of the UAE retail market and commercial trends
  • Goal driven, target orientated, able to step back and look at the bigger picture, you should also be able to manage ambiguity with your sleeves rolled up and possess a preparedness to get involved.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Outstanding negotiations skills
  • Exceptional team management and leadership skills
  • Strong track record of problem solving
  • Very strong analytical skill capability
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (particularly Hubspot) is a plus
