Senior Technical Engineer

Description:

Alghanim International Construction is currently seeking an experienced Senior Technical Engineer to support a strategic Design & Build Bridge Project based in Jafza, Dubai. This is a key role for an infrastructure-focused civil engineering professional with robust experience in design coordination, technical documentation, and construction delivery.

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth technical integration between design and site teams while maintaining full compliance with authority requirements and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review all design documentation, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and project requirements.
• Lead coordination efforts between consultants, site teams, and stakeholders throughout all project phases.
• Prepare, assess, and manage submission of shop drawings, material approvals, and method statements.
• Respond promptly and accurately to technical clarifications and RFIs.
• Provide expert support to site teams in resolving complex technical challenges during execution.
• Facilitate smooth transition from design phase to on-site construction implementation.
• Liaise effectively with internal QA/QC, planning, and procurement teams to maintain project flow.
• Oversee preparation and verification of as-built drawings and project handover documentation.

Key Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 10 years of hands-on experience in bridge and infrastructure projects, especially under D&B contracts.
• Mandatory UAE residency.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and project coordination tools; familiarity with BIM is advantageous.
• In-depth understanding of UAE and international design codes and construction practices.
• Exceptional communication, coordination, and reporting abilities.
