Senior Trader

Description:

A leading organization is seeking a highly experienced and performance-focused Senior Trader to oversee trading operations and contribute to business growth. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in commodity and international trade who can identify profitable opportunities while maintaining strong commercial relationships.

The successful candidate will manage the complete trading cycle, from sourcing and procurement to negotiations and sales execution. You will collaborate with multiple departments, monitor market conditions, and ensure trading activities remain profitable while complying with industry regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end trading activities, including sourcing, procurement, pricing, negotiations, and sales

• Identify new business opportunities by exploring potential markets, suppliers, and customers

• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with international clients, suppliers, and business partners

• Monitor market trends, pricing movements, customer demand, and competitor activities

• Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing structures, and contract terms

• Track profitability, trading margins, risk exposure, and overall business performance

• Work closely with logistics, finance, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth trade execution

• Ensure compliance with trade regulations, documentation requirements, and internal company policies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, International Trade, Supply Chain, or a related discipline

• Strong experience in commodity trading, international trade, import-export, or commercial trading

• Demonstrated success in business development, commercial negotiations, and profitable trade execution

• Strong knowledge of:

• Trade finance

• Pricing strategies and contract management

• Logistics, supply chain coordination, and risk management

• Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and relationship management skills

• Experience within the Dubai, UAE, or GCC trading market will be considered an advantage
