Infrastructure (AMI), integrating renewable energy sources, enhancing energy efficiency, and ensuring grid reliability, you will help shape a sustainable future for generations to come from our Dubai headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

● Designing and Planning: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design scalable
smart grid and AMI infrastructure, carefully considering factors such as load balancing,
renewable energy integration, grid stability, and cybersecurity.
● Implementation and Integration: Oversee the installation and integration of smart grid
components—including DLMS/COSEM smart meters, sensors, communication networks, and control systems—ensuring seamless connectivity and interoperability.
● Data Analysis and Optimization: Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to extract insights from smart grid data. Identify usage patterns (including non-technical losses), optimize energy distribution, predict demand, and integrate distributed energy resources
effectively.
● Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor the performance of smart grid systems, analyze
telemetry data, identify anomalies or potential issues, and implement necessary
maintenance or upgrades to optimize performance and reliability.
● Cybersecurity and Resilience: Ensure the absolute security and resilience of our smart
grid systems by implementing robust cybersecurity measures, developing contingency plans, and conducting thorough risk assessments.
● Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate directly with utility companies,regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders to align smart grid projects with strict regulatory requirements, industry standards, and complex customer needs.

Hard Skills & Background Requirements

● Education & Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power
Systems Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a similar discipline. Candidates with
experience in utility companies or energy consulting firms are highly sought after.
● Power Systems Knowledge: Strong foundational knowledge of power systems
engineering, including grid infrastructure, electrical distribution, and transmission systems.
● Smart Grid Technologies: Deep proficiency in smart grid technologies (smart meters,
SCADA systems, IoT devices) and communication protocols (specifically DLMS/COSEM, STS, DNP3, and IEC 61850).
● Data & Modeling: Expertise in data analysis and modeling using software tools like Python,R, or MATLAB, alongside knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.
● Renewables (DERs): Familiarity with renewable energy integration and distributed energy resources such as solar panels, wind turbines, and energy storage systems.
● Cybersecurity: Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, network architecture, and encryption methods to ensure the secure operation of AMI systems.
● Project Management: Proficient in project management methodologies and tools to
coordinate and execute massive smart grid projects effectively.
