Description:
The Social Media & Digital Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting the Founder & Managing Director and Digital Marketing Manager in creating communications aligned with the marketing plan, and supporting the weekly and daily social media activities for the Diapoint.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
- This position reports to the Digital Marketing Manager
LOCATION
- While the company is located in Dubai, we will consider applications who are located in other cities. Due to the nature of the work, some of it can be done remotely.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in managing social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube) and management tools (i.e Buffer, Google Analytics)
- Support the creation of the editorial calendar and ensure content is timely, relevant, and engaging
- Draft blog posts
- Prepare weekly updates and reports to track growth and success rates of campaigns
- Keep up to date and informed on new social media trends and adapt accordingly
- Ensure proper messaging is being executed online
- Assist with website copywriting, proofing, and updating as needed
- Support and attend local events
QUALIFICATIONS
- Understands and can use digital media, and web/social media
- Working knowledge of email marketing tools as well as Microsoft office
- Ability to take initiative, employ good judgment, and manage projects from beginning to end independently
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Exceptional attention and ability to manage details
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and to anticipate next steps or needs
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
REQUIREMENTS
- Must attend regular, weekly meetings either face to face if located in Dubai, or virtually as scheduled
- A masters degree in marketing, or relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Desire to learn and deliver high quality work to support the organization and our clients
- Must be able to work independently.
