Responsibilities:

•Speech and Language Assessment: Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders to identify their specific needs and challenges.

•Develop Treatment Plans: Based on the assessment, speech therapists create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals. These plans typically involve various therapeutic techniques and exercises to improve speech and language abilities.

•Speech Therapy Sessions: Providing one-on-one or group therapy sessions to clients to work on articulation, language development, fluency, voice disorders, and other communication difficulties.

•Swallowing and Feeding Therapy: If applicable, speech therapists may also work with individuals who have swallowing or feeding difficulties to improve safety and efficiency during eating and drinking.

•Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Working closely with other healthcare professionals, educators, and caregivers to ensure coordinated care and support for the patients.

•Patient and Family Education: Educating patients and their families about communication strategies, exercises, and techniques to continue progress outside of therapy sessions.

•Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluating and documenting patient progress to track improvements and modify treatment plans as necessary.

•Stay Current with Research: Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements and research in the field of speech therapy to provide the best possible care to patients

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure or registration to practice as a Speech Therapist in Dubai. Licensing requirements may vary, so it's essential to check with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) or the relevant regulatory body for the most up-to-date information. DHA licenced speech therapist or at least eligible.

• Relevant work experience, which can vary depending on the employer's preferences and the specific setting of practice.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with empathy and patience in working with individuals with communication disorders.
