Sr Front End Engineer

 

Description:

In general, we expect from a Senior Engineer:

 ability to contribute with clean code

 understanding of collective code ownership

 understanding of separation of concerns and how that impacts the way we write software

components / modules

 understanding / knowledge of new technologies such as HTTP/2 or React Native

 good understanding of JavaScript -- we happen to write lots of it!

 familiarity with Git & Github

 contribution / kickstart of open source projects is a plus

For frontend-specific roles:

 High proficiency in JavaScript

 Ability to structure modular CSS with a CSS processor such as Less / Sass

 Ability to structure SPAs with Angular / React

 Knowledge of the various tools that you could use to automate / build frontend apps (ie. Webpack,

Gulp, Yeoman)

 Deep understanding of DevTools and the ecosystem around developing on the client-side

 Understanding of concepts like isomorphism in JavaScript

 Ability to dig into the backend, if needed, is a plus

 Familiarity with React / React Native is a plus
