Sr. Structural Engineer

DAR is seeking a highly experienced Sr. Structural Engineer to join its site supervision team in the UAE. This role is suited for a professional with extensive consultant-side supervision experience and a strong technical background in structural engineering for building projects.

The successful candidate will oversee structural works on-site, ensure compliance with approved drawings and quality standards, coordinate with project stakeholders, and provide technical guidance throughout project execution. This position requires excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering projects in accordance with regulatory and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise structural works on-site and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.

• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and other technical documents related to structural works.

• Monitor construction activities, workmanship, quality, project progress, testing, and inspections.

• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, architects, MEP teams, and site supervision staff.

• Ensure structural works are executed in accordance with design intent, authority regulations, safety requirements, and contract documents.

• Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance for concrete, steel, foundation, and structural elements.

• Identify site issues and support timely technical solutions to prevent project delays.

• Attend site meetings, prepare reports, and assist the Resident Engineer and Project Manager with project delivery.

• Maintain quality control records, inspection documentation, and site reports.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.

• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience.

• Strong UAE/GCC experience is mandatory.

• Proven experience in site supervision of building projects.

• Consultant-side experience is highly preferred.

• Strong coordination, reporting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage site challenges effectively.

• Strong knowledge of:

• Structural works and construction methodology.

• Quality control and site coordination.

• UAE authority requirements, construction standards, and project compliance.

• Shop drawing reviews, RFIs, method statements, and material submissions.
