Staff Engineer

Description:

We are seeking a brilliant Staff Engineer with expertise in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithm development and software engineering, specifically tailored for spacecraft's IP Core development. This role will involve designing, developing, and optimizing advanced DSP algorithms and software solutions to support complex space-based communication systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement DSP algorithms for spacecraft communication payloads(mission specific Transceiver chain ) includes modulation, demodulation, error correction, and beamforming.

Develop and optimize real-time software for embedded systems, targeting platforms such as FPGAs, DSP processors, and microcontrollers.

Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate DSP algorithms into spacecraft subsystems, ensuring performance under radiation-hardened constraints.

Perform simulation and validation of algorithms using tools, transitioning designs to C/C++ or VHDL for hardware realization.

Lead technical efforts in signal processing for multi-band RF systems (e.g., Ku/Ka-band) and adaptive interference mitigation.

Support integration, testing, and in-orbit operations of spacecraft payloads.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

12+ years of experience in DSP algorithm design and software engineering, with at least 5-8 years in spacecraft applications.

Proficiency in Digital Signal Processing theory algorithms and real-time signal processing.

Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, and MATLAB; experience with VHDL/Verilog is a plus.

Hands-on experience with FPGA development and embedded systems for space environments.

Knowledge of space communication standards (e.g., CCSDS, Navigation Systems, 3GPP NTN) and radiation-hardening techniques.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
